After taking a trip to the store to purchase a bottle of whiskey yesterday, (What better way to stay warm at night, if the blankets just aren't enough?), I realized I better figure out how I am going to keep this blog up so that I can post while we are gone for these few days. I mean really, do I honestly think there will be Wi-Fi where we are headed?
After chatting with my brother-in-law a few weeks back as to how the hell I can do this via my Droid instead of lugging my laptop through the mountains, I got a bit frustrated when I went back yesterday to refresh my memory as to how I can upload pictures and make updates. All the codes no longer worked for what I wanted and/or needed. If you ever try to make a blog, and want to update on the road, just skip the nonsense and download the Blogger application to your smart phone. Why the heck didn't I think of that in the first place? So much easier. So much faster. A lot less messin' and gommin'. My frustrations quickly eased when I finished off a bottle of wine, ate a bunch of homemade pesto, and was able to post a picture of me in my pajamas sticking my tongue out. Needless to say, that quickly got taken down.
Just a few days away, folks. Stay tuned. For now, I'm off to make some flapjacks.
Messin' and gommin'?! lol
ReplyDeleteDon't want none o' that!
MESSIN' AND GOMMIN'! I'm glad you figured out how to make a post from your phone. When we've gone on trips, I'll write a blog before I go to bed regardless of where I am, even if it's a tent in the middle of nowhere or a deserted island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. I save the entry and then post it whenever I get access to an internet connection, even if that means I can't update for a few days. It's more about documenting the experience than anything. A few years from now you'll come back to this blog and read your old entries and it will make you smile.
